…or maybe just squirrel it away in some unknown corner of the trash. I have never tried a vid with my little camera and had no idea what to do, but wouldn’t you know it that something popped up in the yard that I wanted to capture. Worse was, I was upstairs and behind a screened window. My luck is always so darn good! Lol, not. Anyway, the clarity of this is the worst possible and any shaking just has to be ignored. I couldn’t even find a way to edit it to make it half decent. Still, it’s cute, and it’s one of my beloved squirrels that has been famous for cleaning out feeders in less than a day.
Oh yeah, and besides how bad the vid is, please disregard the insane person that sounds like a total idiot. I couldn’t figure out how to get the sound out, either, and you know how it is with a vid off the cuff like this – there’s no such thing as a do-over.
I’m going to start keeping my camera downstairs so that I can at least open the door and maybe, I said maybe, get a clear shot. We’ll see ;)
Beth, I remember when you did your first vid and it was at your house of the yard. I tell you, I have ALL the respect in the world for you! This was done on a wing and prayer, and the wing must have broken and I didn’t know the right words for the prayer.
Why, oh whyyyyy, didn't I wait a few minutes more! I went downstairs --without the camera-- to start working on a pork roast. I looked out of the window and there on another feeder, was a chipmunk sitting on the ledge, munching away, and right beside him was a cardinal doing the same, then, beside him was the squirrel hanging upside down and using the other opening to pull food, and right on top of the entire thing was the biggest BlueJay in the world. I swear, I am so unblessed with a camera, lol.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE!!! the video and the announcer is pretty darn good too. I remember my first video too, and it was pretty awful, but at least I got to show everyone my alley. No alley here in my back yard, just a nice peaceful cemetery. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI loved the video!!! So great to hear your voice too. That critter is so cute. Keep the vids coming!
ReplyDeleteWell, Toods, my voice has changed SO much since I had this darn "sneeze". I should tell the story, but suffice it to say, it's not even close to what it used to be. Now I'm gravely and out of breath, lol.
ReplyDeleteAnd to Beth, Cemetary? LOL, how funny is that?! Cracked me up!
Well, darn - now, this is one time I REALLY wish I could watch video's! I know it is just so cute! :(
ReplyDeleteThat video is a "keeper"! Also, good narrative!
ReplyDeleteAlso, enjoyed the posting about your friends' Cat House". As for the one about the food....it just made me hungry! Keep up the good work!
Jenny, the video is hysterical - I bet if you posted it to YouTube it would "go viral!"
ReplyDelete;-)
Deb
I loved it Jenny! I don't like squirrels even a little but BUT this was danged funny and they ARE fun to watch when it's not your bird feeder (read MY bird feeder) :-)
ReplyDeleteJenny I loved loved this. Sure made my day. How cute. I love Squirrels and they are smart. So nice to hear your voice. Really really nice.
ReplyDeleteJenny thanks . Your a sweetie and if Im still the same tomorrow its off to the Doctor.
Hugs xo
Hey Jenny! Because of my pathetic internet connection here, I wasn't patient enough to watch most of your video. It was watch/listen to 2-3 seconds, then wait 30 for it to buffer the next 2-3 seconds. So I can't really make a fair comment. I can say I know what you're saying about not being able to edit it. That's the main reason I don't do very many videos. We're trying to keep all the squirrels fed around here. There are red ones, black, gray and even flying squirrels, which are very nasty.
ReplyDeleteThey can clean out a feeder over night.
I thought your video was absolutely adorable, Jenny; your narration was spontaneous and funny, and I sat here smiling all the while!
ReplyDeleteNow I'm a little jealous: I've done several YouTube videos of me reading poetry, but I'm limited to my webcam and a fairly short cord.
It would be nice to be able to get outdoors and capture some scenes from my own back yard as you've done.
(Perhaps Santa will bring me a snazzy digital camera!)
I'd love to see you do more of these; you're actually very good!!!
*APPLAUSE and STANDING OVATION*
That little guy is some piece of work! Sounds like you may need an upstairs camera and a downstairs camera.

ReplyDeleteGrrr, trying again. I'm an idiot, your video says YouTube right on it, you must have thought I was nuts! (sorry about the removed post - having an argument with the Blogger interface)
ReplyDeletedelightful, keep them coming
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the wine suggestions. I've had Smoking Loon, but I usually buy the reds. I'll try their Chard and also check out the French one too. I love buying and trying new wines. My one rule is not to spend over $10 per bottle. Sometimes though, I will go as high as $12! LOL There's lots of good wine for sale out there without spending an arm and a leg. Oh and here's my email if you'd like to contact me directly. cjgrey23@gmail.com
