One of Those Good Moments ~~

Ahhhh, life is GOOD. I just hung up the phone after almost 3 hours of a conversation with R. What a great guy he is. He is now ok with friendship and I am thrilled about it.  Like I had said before, we have everything in the world in common but I just didn't get that ____ feeling (can't think of the word but you know). I didn't want to NOT be around him, I just didn't want the rest (that word I can't think of). He understood when I talked about the "vein" that we have and the wonderfulness of that, and the fact that by my own choice did not want to do any relationship of the (whatever the word is) kind. He was so nice about it. He said it was all right and that he understood and that he was still so glad that he could say anything or talk to me about anything under the sun and it was ok. He said he wouldn't trade that for anything in the world and wasn't going to give that up. This is a good night, a happy night, a fulfilled night, the best night of all.  Just letting you gals know :D

Raining now and tornado watches again, yuck. I'm trying to catch bits and pieces of Dancing With The Stars and typing at the same time. Last night, I had a couple come by to look at my red Rav IV. Crazy. It was pitch black and raining. Who can look at a car to buy like that? Well, I took a flashlight and within a split second the guy says, "What's that?" I looked, and there on the windshield, the piece that sort of goes around it (whatever it's called) had a break. Omg, a little tiny break in the "seal" (that's the word). NEVER saw it in years! And we're in the dark! Well, I'd dropped the price from Blue Book by over $4000 because they knew my friend Lee, and that's the only reason. Now they say they'll call back, lol.  The car is pristine, low, low miles and yep, has that tiny break in the seal. They could buy the car and turn it in as a trade in and get more, geezy peezy. Haven't heard back but I don't care.  I'm in no rush whatsoever and don't even care if I ever sell it. It's nice to have a 2nd car just in case.

Can you believe it, I have nothing else to say. Well, actually I do, but we'll save all the good stuff for some other time.  I wrote a ton on Chip's blog today and he was so darn gracious about it. I'm trying very hard to be short and to the point but you know how those soapboxes can be, lol.  Anyway, nothing new to add at the moment and appts during the week coming up as usual.  Still, I'm doing a great job keeping up with all of YOU!  It's far more interesting in your neck of the woods than mine :D
Cya soon ~~

XOXOXO

  2. Glad to hear that you and the fellow were able to come to terms on the relationship. Who knows....time might allow you to re-evaluate the status in the future.
As for the vehicle... don't drop the price any more.
So the seal is cracked. Run it through a carwash and see if it leaks. If not, it's no big deal!

  3. Hi Jenny,

Great news about your "friendship" and not that other word, lol - glad things are going well. Have a good week. hugs - Nita

  4. I'm glad things worked out and you saved the friendship out of that whole thing...rare indeed! I'm not a big TV person and have few shows I really watch. I find myself watching Smoking Gun Dumbest stuff and Ghost Adventures every week but aside from that I am not at all into the dancing shows like so many are. It's a cold one here with a bout 19 degrees this morning. I know I need to get out and walk but seriously...yuck! Have a great day my friend!

  6. Hi Jenny, I just had to come over to your site as you were so kind with your comments on mine, I truly felt a lump in my throat, to think you've been following my bogs for a while, I think I've got about five on the go, but usually it's only two that peeps read, but if you're anything like me, it's about enough, I think I'll sell my TV as I never get time to watch any more, so when the folks buy your car, ask them if they want a fairly new TV and hop over to England to pick it up, I'll give them tea and scones for their trouble. and I was almost on the verge of giving up blogging, as I felt maybe peeps didn't find them interesting enough to comment, but you've more than made up for it with your generosity. Oh dear I'm sounding all maudlin, I can talk [type] for Britain too. thanks also for compliments on my paintings, THAT does mean a lot. Anyhow to your post, how lucky you are to find someone who just wants to be a good friend without strings, a good substitute word. LOL.
Reading your profile, I noticed you liked Pearl Buck, I thought her book 'The Good Earth' was one of the finest books I read it many years ago. I think I'd best shut up now, but thanks again and come back as I will.

  7. Oh I'm so glad he understood and still wanted to be friends too.
Hey I'm digging your Rav IV girl. It's so YOU! Maybe the couple will call back and decide to take it. Of all the luck finding that broken seal in the dark with a flashlight. lol

    Have a great afternoon sweetie!

  8. Love your car, Jenny! So pretty; wish I could buy it, really. :)

It's so great, isn't it, to have a male friend to talk with and not the 'stuff'. I lost mine this year in August, and I'll sure miss him even though we didn't talk that often, we were there for each other since junior high. Sigh.

    Take care!

  9. Dave's right, Jenny. Run it through the car wash and if it doesn't leak there's nothing to worry about. Even if it does leak one of those "we come to you" auto glass services can pop the windshield out, replace the seal and reinstall the glass for around $100.

  10. Hi Jen, thanks for stopping over to my blog and leaving your comment on my little GB and for Sam and Lucy's XXXX's to Tango, he's flattered, and he says I like Mum doing this poota thing now as I'm making lots of friends too, Bess, Mo, Sam Kassey and now Sam and Lucy, oh it's nice to be loved. if I was a cat I'd purr.

  11. You only THINK it's more interesting here.

  12. I HATE the kind of person who can spot the tiniest flaw, although I guess when buying a car, it is only reasonable. I can't imagine, though, it being a dealbreaker on an otherwise good deal. If only you had a crack in the windshied, you might get a free glass replacement if your insurer is like mine, and if the crack is whereI think it is, that would be taken care of.

And it is great having a really good friend like you describe. My two most lasting friendships were with females who had a crush on me 40+ years ago, which I could not reciprocate (much as I would have liked to) because of the zing thing (OK, because of the gay thing) and I am sitting at the home of one of these ladies typing this very comment. They lasted longer than any of my relationships that DID have that zing...

  13. That's new to me and it's a good word.....'the zing thing' like it.
